IP Net SPb was founded in January 2000 to create a single citywide fiber-optic network and provide a full range of communications services in St. Petersburg. The founders of the company are Russian company Lastgrant Ltd. and IP Land Ltd BVI. Now the company is one of the steadily growing communication operators of St. Petersburg.

Each building connected to IP Net's network has its own gigabit optical channel. The technological advantage of fiber-optic network favorably distinguishes optical channels from other types of telecommunications. This advantage provides high speed information transfer, reliability, noise immunity, the lack of restrictions on the amount of data transmitted and allows the use of the latest digital computer technology.

IP Net uses Cisco Systems equipment that provides network operation with a channel bandwidth from 10 up to 1000 Mbps. Using this set of equipment provides stability in the network. High-speed connection removes the limits on information delivery and allows you to transmit any volumes of information from plain text to DVD-quality video and HDTV.
