The Main Information Analytical Center of the Ministry of Education supports and ensures the development of the Unibel network. Unibel currently provides a wide range of Internet services and carries out its activity in accordance with the license No. 02140/0184749 of 26.01.09 issued by the Ministry of Communications and Informatization. Unibel has 7 main points of connection in Minsk. They are interconnected by 100 Mbit/s bandwidth channels to form the backbone network, and 3 regional nodes connected to the backbone network by digital channels and (or) FrameRelay channels. The speed of the international connection to the Internet is 75 Mbps. Unibel is registered with RIPE (European IP Registration Service) and has been assigned the appropriate IP addresses. An AS5498 autonomous system is registered behind the Unibel network. The basic list of services includes session connection over the public switched lines (Dial-Up); permanent connection over non-switched physical lines and digital channels (Online); placement of information on the virtual and physical servers. The total port capacity of the network is 426 ports. Session connectivity is provided through 40 dial-up input lines. At present, more than 80 organizations are connected to the network. The Unibel network is the technical basis for forming a sectoral information environment for the education system (OISSE), the creation of which is the main task of the program "Comprehensive informatization of the education system of the Republic of Belarus for 2007-2010.
