Oskoltelekom

CJSC "Oskoltelecom" was founded and registered on December 8, 1992 in Stary Oskol, Belgorod region. Creation of the joint-stock company was promoted by the situation that existed at that time (1991-1992) in the city, when on the one hand active construction and commissioning of housing, social and cultural facilities was in progress and on the other hand there was no technical possibility for telephonization of commissioned facilities, since the free (mounted) numbering capacity of the existing exchanges in the city was completely exhausted. Only construction of new telephone exchanges in the city could change the situation, but the necessary funds to implement this project were not found. With the creation of Oskoltelecom two exchanges (with line facilities) were built in a short time: ATS-25 in Naberezhny district, 11, with installed capacity of 10 000 tel. numbers (put into operation in December 1993) and ATS-33 in Solnechny district, "House of Communications" also for 10 000 tel. numbers (put into operation in 1994), which contributed to solution of the city problem in a short time. Financing of the communication facilities under construction was solved by the Company by attracting money from industrial enterprises and population of the city against guarantees of telephone installations within the terms agreed upon with the creditors.

CJSC "Oskoltelecom" is steadily developing, constantly increasing its production capacities and expanding its range of services. The Company looks confidently into the future, carrying out active development and modernization of its networks on the basis of the latest technologies, strengthening its positions in the market of telecommunications services.
