NODEX was founded in April 2001. The main direction of its activity at the initial stage was the provision of telematic services (creation and placement of sites, leasing and placement of equipment in the NODEX data center, etc.).

As the company developed, the range of services offered to customers expanded. In 2002, the company began construction of its own fiber-optic network in St. Petersburg and began actively providing data transmission and Internet access services via dedicated communication channels.

Today the company provides a wide range of telecommunication services:
- High-speed Internet access for organizations with a flexible billing system;
- leasing of digital communication channels;
- organization of virtual private networks and integration of several customer's offices into a single information structure;
- local and long-distance digital telephony;
- placement in the data center of their own or leased server equipment;
- virtual hosting and related services.

Since the beginning of 2007 the company has significantly improved its ability to provide complex services to its clients. It now offers additional services for the design and installation of local networks, computing complexes, structured cable systems, remote video surveillance systems, and administration of clients' server equipment.
