JSC "Interregional TransitTelecom" (MTT) is an operator of long distance domestic and international (IH/IH) communications that has been successfully operating in the market for more than 15 years. Until 2006 MTT worked only in the interoperator segment of the market, providing interconnection services to Russian mobile operators and operators of fixed telephony networks.

Since 2006, as part of the demonopolization of long-distance and international communications market in Russia, MTT entered a new market segment for the company, starting to provide services to end users - subscribers of fixed telephone networks throughout the country in accordance with the obtained license № 32042 from Rossvyaznadzor in the mode of "prior choice of operator" and "choice of operator for each call".

MTT was the first Russian telecom operator that broke the previous monopoly on providing these services in Russia. To access MTT services in "operator selection at each call" mode the codes are allocated: "53" - for long-distance calls and "58" - for international communication.

A new market segment to which MTT entered in the process of demonopolization of MG/ MNT market was the segment of international traffic transit. The MTT network was installed six international transit nodes, organized international points of presence of MTT in Frankfurt-am-Main, Stockholm, London, Paris, Amsterdam, Brussels, New York, Hong Kong, as well as in Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan. Contracts with more than 50 major international telecommunications operators.

MTT is also actively working in the segment of additional services in the field of voice and data. In June 2005 the MTT started offering the service of the intelligent communication network "Free Call" ("8-800-333-Call Free") and launched into commercial operation the services "Tele-voting" and "Access to information services for an additional fee". In September 2005 MTT announced the launch of the WLAN-roaming (roaming in Wi-Fi networks) service in Russia and started its commercial operation. The range of additional services provided by MTT is constantly expanding in accordance with the market needs.

Quality management system of MTT was certified in July, 2006 for compliance to the international standard ISO 9001-2001.

MTT is a member of international and national associations NMT, GSM, A 3G , AMX-IX GRX, European Telecommunications Standards Institute ETSI, International Telecommunications Union (ITU-T).
