MTU Crystal JSC - 50 years in the world of telecommunications

Our company took its first steps in 1952 as a subdivision of Kiev installation department.

In 1959, by Order No.210 of the Chairman of USSR Council of Ministers, the self-supporting assembly section was reorganized into Ufa Specialized Administration No.8.

Over the period since 1959 till 1966 the scope of contract works of the specialized mounting department No.8 was increased several times. The scope of activities of the department expanded considerably.

Since January 1, 1967 Ufa SMU №8 was renamed in Ufa Department of design-assembly works (UUPMR) as a part of All-Union Scientific Production Association "Kaskad".

On December 1, 1983 Ufa Directorate of Design and Installation Works was renamed into Installation and Technological Directorate "Kristal".

In the period of 60-80's the staff of the enterprise worked at the most important objects of national economic and defense significance.

During those years the basis of economic potential of the Urals and Volga regions was created with participation of our staff, such enterprises were constructed as Ufaneftekhim, Ufa Oil Refineries, Ufsintezspirt, Salavatnefteorgsintez, Ufa Motor Plant, Orenburg Gas Processing Plant, Kamsky Automobile Plant, airports in Yekaterinburg, Kazan, Izhevsk, Ufa and many other objects.

Communication systems were installed at the Olympics-80 facilities in Moscow within a short time.

Due to high professionalism, organization and mobility of the enterprise personnel the Governmental tasks on assembling and commissioning specialized communication systems in the interests of the Ministry of Defence and the State Security Committee were successfully fulfilled.

A great deal of special work was carried out on Navy ships. Specialists of the department took an active part in creation and launching of space system "Buran".

In the following years in difficult conditions of economic reforms and market relations formation the company management always found the right decisions in the chaos of events.

Directions of production activities were coordinated, enterprise structure was changed, new kinds of activities were mastered: design and survey works, development of automated control and information processing systems, development of multifunctional television systems, special works with the use of modern technical means and materials.

The company has regional production units - branches in the cities of Orenburg, Tyumen, Perm, Orsk, Chelyabinsk, Yoshkar-Ola, Izhevsk, Neftekamsk, Salavat, Tuimazy, Sterlitamak. New structural subdivisions were created: the Department of Information Technologies, the Department of Telecommunications and the Department of Complex Information Systems, which participate in the implementation of federal programs of informatization and regional telecommunication systems.

The enterprise is a member of the "Sirius" Association of System Integration and Development of Information and Control Systems.

Major customers of contract work are: RF Ministry of Defense, RF Federal Security Service, Federal Directorate for the Safe Storage and Destruction of Chemical Weapons, Regional Construction Ministries, Federal Informatization Center, Research Institute "Voskhod".

According to its own investment program for the last decade were built and put into operation large cable television systems and broadband data networks, the services of which are used by more than 860 thousand residents of Ufa, Tuimazy and Yoshkar-Ola.

The cable television networks broadcast more than 75 television programs, and almost all Crystal television subscribers have the ability to connect to a data network (Internet).

The company's organizational structure, high mobility of its production units and availability of highly qualified specialists in all areas of its statutory activities allow it to carry out work on technically complex and large objects in all regions of the Russian Federation.

The enterprise has all necessary state licenses and certificates to perform design, installation and commissioning works on communication and information systems, including equipment supply.
