The company was established on June 24, 2013 through the reorganization of the Order of the Red Banner of Labor Federal State Unitary Enterprise "Moscow City Radio Broadcasting Network" by merging with the Federal State Unitary Enterprise "Radio Broadcasting Network of St. Petersburg". The main activities of FSUE RWSN are the construction and operation of special public address networks, the broadcasting of state radio programs, sound and technical services for major state events, including the Victory Parade on Red Square in Moscow. The wire broadcasting networks in Moscow and St. Petersburg are the technical backbone of emergency warning systems in an area with a population of over 20 million people. The CW networks remain operational during power outages in residential and office buildings, are multiple redundant, and provide targeted notification to people in the emergency area. |
