Azercell Telecom

Azercell Telekom LLC was founded on January 19, 1996. The first founders were Turkcell İletişim Hizmetleri A.S. and the Ministry of Communications of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

Azercell Telekom started its activity on December 15, 1996, offering mobile communication services to subscribers on post-paid basis. In 1998, a prepaid system was introduced - the SimSim tariff plan.

In 2000 Azercell established a quality management system and received the ISO 9001 certificate on December 7, 2000. In 2003 year the company has renewed the system of quality management according to version 2000 of the same Standard and on January, 15th, 2004 was received the certificate of conformity to ISO 9001:2000 Standard.

In 2006 Azercell Telekom was awarded with the IIP (the Investors In People) Standard Certificate.

Azercell Telekom met all 12 indicators and was recognized as an IIP Standard Company. Azercell Telekom is included in the list of 36,000 international organizations operating under the IIP Standard.

IIP is a standard that defines best practices for training and developing employees to achieve business goals. The standard creates a national system for increasing productivity and competitiveness, through a planned approach to the definition and implementation of business objectives and personnel development. As a result, the organization operates on the principle of employee development, and employees on the principle of improving their work and the work of other employees.
